Engineering and Entrepreneurship (E²)

Our students mature into confident, fearless leaders throughout their time at The Leffell School. One of the ways we foster such growth is through Engineering and Entrepreneurship (E²), our four-year engineering, design, innovation, entrepreneurship and management High School course. This is essentially an incubator for new product ideas, experiments and development.

The hands-on, comprehensive STEAM program (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) is run by Leffell’s Director of Engineering and Design, Dr. Danny Aviv, and taps into our students’ creativity and ingenuity beginning in the ninth grade with an introductory course, and culminating
as our students move forward in High School with materialized products.

Here are three examples of student-generated projects. “I selected these projects/kids because I am overwhelmed with pride when I think about what they accomplished over the course of the time I’ve known them,” Dr. Aviv says.
